The water remembers

“The water remembers” explores slow processes of change and the influence of time on matter, appearance, and the ways in which they are perceived and remembered. The works do not describe a fixed moment, but states held in continuous motion—forming, accumulating, eroding, and disappearing. Layers of color, depth, and transparency create spaces in which the boundaries between the visible and the hidden, and between the real and the remembered, remain open. Each work begins with observation but moves away from direct representation. Deliberate gestures meet unpredictable developments, allowing the painting to carry traces of time and process. The series lingers on change as it gradually unfolds, leaving its marks while making room for new forms to emerge.
